Held on Friday 16th July, the 2010 GVFB Clay Pigeon Shooting Competition saw a large field battle for the honour of being GVFB Top Gun. The eventual individual winner was Fireman Groome and Tresham Section took the Section Prize.
Thanks go to Fireman Plumb for his work in organising the event and to his team for setting up and packing away the equipment on the evening.

8am on Saturday 31st July saw a team of 15 firemen at the Village Hall to erect our marquee and provide shelter for the Gretton Silver Band whilst they played at the Gardening Club’s 36th Annual Village Show.
Another world record was set, 55 minutes for the complete framework and roof.
In order to support the Cricket Club’s Beer Festival Weekend we erected our 12m x 6m marquee on the cricket pitch boundary to provide shelter for supporters and drinkers.
The task was completed in a world record time of 2 hours despite a strong head wind, due to the excellent work of 15 firemen. A similarly excellent crew carried out the dismantling.
The first photos from the recent Great Adventure are now available. More information to follow at the next brigade meeting but for now, thanks to the Adjutant and the CO, please enjoy these…
