If you had always thought that the course for The Trundle was made up on the day here’s proof positive otherwise. Station Officer Doran (Moley?), PoCO Seddon (Ratty?) and PMC Ward (Badger?) messing about in boats in order to finely tune the first major challenge that would face the teams. 11 Firemen and families sampled the delights of fabulous German hospitality, visited the spectacular town of Cochem on the Mosel, nightclubs in Koblenz (younger travellers), enjoyed a barbeque by the Rhine and the spectacle of the “Rhine in Flames” fireworks. We also toured the site of next years National Garden Show at Koblenz, which will be well worth visiting.
